RAF Brewster Buffalo

The Brewster Buffalo fared better against the Nakajima Ki-27 (Nate).

6 were shot down over Sumatra.

TheNakajima Ki-43 (Oscar) proved too formidable for the slow and heavy Buffalos.

The poorly equiped RAF depended on the slow and heavy Brewster Buffalo fighter to defend Malaya. The fighter didnt stand a fighting chance against the more agile Japanese fighters.

Lovely looking Tamiya Buffalo. Too bad the RAF and RAAF pilots did not know how to use these birds effectively

Some of the pilots were ex Battle of Britain. Having said that I think they were outmatched by the Japanese Ki 43.
